Every Wednesday morning we have a session with Sharon on Wellbeing. Sharon is really interesting and teaches us about healthy eating, alcohol awareness and loads of other topics.
One of the activities we did was about how healthy our food choices are. I was really surprised to find out how much sugar and fat are in fish and chips from the takeaway. It’s put me off buying them in the future! I also know more about the food groups and now give my meals more thought.
The activities we do and interesting and hands on. It gets the information to stay in my head and it feels more real to my life.
I think these sessions will also help me when I start my career in Childcare. I might have to do snack time and I now know what is healthy and what is not. I’m really looking forward to learning more.
